Human Resources Generalist/Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administers various employee benefit programs, such as group insurance, life, medical and dental, accident and disability insurance; and 401k plan.
  • Implements new benefit programs; arranges and conducts employee information presentations and enrollments.
  • Verifies the calculation of the monthly premiums statements for all group insurance policies.
  • Creates and/or maintains databases and files for all HR records.
  • Administers new hire and termination processing.
  • Stays current on HR professional and operational issues and best practices.
  • Identifies the need for new and/or modified policies, procedures, or programs to address changing business requirements and/or operational requirements and makes recommendations accordingly.
  • Plans and coordinates employee events and activities.
  • Performs other administrative duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus additional courses or seminars related to HR administration.
  • A minimum of three (3) years related work experience.
  • PHR certification preferred.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Positive attitude and be able to work independently on multiple tasks.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent prioritization and follow up skills.
  • Knowledge of standard Human Resources core concepts, core processes, procedures and policies.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality on all matters confidential in nature.
  • Must display professionalism and confidence.
  • Specialized knowledge of current federal and state regulations pertaining to employment.
